  1. Practice using open-ended question starters like: what…, tell me about…, how…
  2. Affirming someone’s strengths can help them feel seen and whole: I’m so impressed by…., I’m inspired by…, I can hear how much…
  3. When a rift in the conversation happens, you can use “repair strategies” to rebuild the trust and relationship at hand. These strategies include: apology, regret and wishes.
