In our second installment of the AI in Action webinar series, we welcomed Hakeem O. Adeniyi, Jr., Chief Clinical Officer at Sacramento Native American Health Center (SNAHC). Dr. Adeniyi shared real-world implementation of AI tools in the safety net, including how SNAHC is using ambient scribe technology and decision support platforms to reduce clinician burden, improve patient engagement, and navigate language equity challenges.

Hakeem O. Adeniyi, Jr., MD is the Chief Clinical Officer at Sacramento Native American Health Center (SNAHC), a federally qualified health center (FQHC) and Urban Indian Health Organization. Board Certified in Family and Community Medicine, Dr. Adeniyi, affectionately known as Dr. Hakeem, received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and trained at San Francisco General Hospital, a UCSF-affiliated trauma center.
Dr. Adeniyi has previously served as Chief Medical Officer and Regional Medical Director at several Bay Area FQHCs and as the Chair of the California Primary Care Association Supporting Black Communities Task Force. He is currently a member of the HealthNet Quality Improvement & Health Equity Committee and Peer Review Committees. With extensive experience in direct patient care, clinical operations, quality improvement, strategic planning, and health information system implementation, Dr. Adeniyi has dedicated his career to improving health outcomes for multicultural and underserved populations, and he strives to achieve the tenets of the Institute for Health Improvement’s quintuple aim, which focuses on improving population health, enhancing the patient experience, reducing health care costs, improve care team well-being, and advancing health equity.
