Wes works on collaborative storytelling, fostering engagement, and community building through CCI’s digital platforms and channels.

He also grows CCI’s in-house events capacity in supporting teams across the organization to optimize program events and community experiences — virtual, hybrid, and in-person. Wes partners across our teams to digitize their outreach, help expand their facilitation toolbox, and co-develop and execute engagement strategies. He continues to elevate the storytelling aspects of CCI’s work, co-producing multimedia content to transform cohort-centric activities or conversations into resources that spread innovative practices which can benefit the health care safety net and community at large.

Prior to CCI, Wes worked in community health education at Kaiser Permanente Educational Theatre (KPET). As a Performing Health Educator Lead and Assistant Production Manager across all of KPET’s touring programs, he engaged directly with youth and schools in communities throughout Northern California. In addition to this unique scope in community health as a teaching artist— Wes has also worked at Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA) and FilAm Arts, two long-standing community-based organizations providing arts and culture enrichment, health and human services, and community economic development programs serving the ethnically diverse and multigenerational families throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Wes studied at UC Irvine, where he earned his B.A. in social science, specializing in multicultural studies, as well as a B.A. in drama / theatre arts.
