We are excited to invite you to join a one-day event for providers of street medicine in Los Angeles. The goal is to come together, share best practices, and identify and discuss pressing issues that street medicine teams face.
The day will begin with a facilitated co-design session — a “design dash” — focused on keeping street medicine patients connected to care. The goal of the design dash is to identify current strategies and approaches and come up with ideas for improving care continuity and access.
In the afternoon, we will shift focus to “shaping the future of street medicine.” Attendees will have the opportunity to shape the conversation by suggesting any topic they think is important to discuss regarding the expansion of street medicine in Los Angeles and across the state. Topics might include leveraging CalAIM, standards of care for street medicine, and partnerships across agencies. People will vote for the topics they think are most important, and then we will hold three breakout sessions in the afternoon to discuss the three most voted-for topics.

Preparing for the event
We’re continuing to learn how to navigate this new phase of the pandemic with your safety in mind. One of our key goals is to make you, the attendee, feel comfortable. To ensure that, we are asking all attendees to adhere to the following safety protocols:
- Masks: Masks are not required unless they are mandated by local health ordinances. Attendees are welcome and encouraged to wear masks at their discretion. Masks will be available onsite.
- Social Distancing: color-coded accessories will be provided to signal social distancing preferences.
- Vaccination: there is no vaccine requirement for the site or this convening.
- Hygiene Protocols: We encourage everyone to continue hygiene best practices (i.e., washing hands frequently, using your arm or sleeve when coughing or sneezing, using hand sanitizer regularly).
- If you are sick, please do not attend the convening.
We will continue to monitor all conditions related to COVID-19 between now and the start of the gathering and may revise health screening protocols at our discretion. We will inform you of any such changes so you can properly plan ahead. Please let us know if you have any questions.
