OVERVIEW

Market and political forces are accelerating change in our health system at a breakneck pace. Your organization must learn to work differently to meet new challenges to serving vulnerable and low-income populations. Through the Catalyst program, we cultivate a community of change agents who are collaborating with patients, staff, and other stakeholders to co-create the future of the safety net.

Over the course of a six-month capability building program, your Catalyst team will learn how to transform institutional culture and care models by applying human-centered design methods to a strategic challenge facing your organization. By the end of the training, your team will have the opportunity to pitch your ideas to your own senior leaders and innovators in the safety net community.

In addition to trainings and ongoing peer feedback, you have access to coaches and experts who have worked in the safety net. You may also be eligible to receive funding to offset program costs.

The design thinking capabilities you hone in Catalyst are a powerful complement to expertise in quality improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, adaptive leadership, and change management.

Inspired by Intuit Labs, we co-created our initial Catalyst curriculum with the Innovation Consultancy at Kaiser Permanente and gravitytank, a design consultancy that is now part of Salesforce. Building on each cycle’s success, we continue to grow network of trained innovators in the safety net who can lead strategic efforts to transform the health system.
