Amy Shin, a seasoned healthcare executive with twenty-five years of experience in the private and public sectors, is the former CEO of the Health Plan of San Joaquin, a not-for-profit plan serving about 350,000 Medi-Cal members in San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties.

Amy has Medicare, Medicaid and commercial managed care leadership experience, with a focus on strategic planning, policy development and program implementation. Amy was previously a principal consultant with Health Management Associates, a national consulting firm with a focus on publicly financed healthcare programs.  Other positions include Chief Administrative Officer with On Lok Lifeways, a health plan program for dual eligible frail; Senior Vice President, Professional Services at a PBM. She is a licensed pharmacist, having earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Southern California, as well as her bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley. She also completed a two-year leadership fellowship with the California Health Care Foundation.
