Chris (he/him) leads research and evaluation at CCI, building evidence to shape strategy and strengthen the impact of our programs and services. He uses rigorous methods and partners with leading researchers in the field — centering the stories and experiences of patients and providers to advance health equity.

Chris has over ten years of experience in community mental health and hospital settings. His scholarship is informed by past work with patients and families in both healthcare and social services settings. His research in organizational behavior examines the cultural, relational, and structural factors that support care integration across healthcare and social services.

His past work has examined how policy shapes the delivery of complex care for older adults and people experiencing homelessness. Recent studies include assessing county-level capacity to support older adults in the Bay Area, describing efforts to integrate homeless services and healthcare in Los Angeles County, and evaluating the impact of Medicaid waivers on nonprofit homeless service organizations that contract with managed care plans.

Chris holds both a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to his role at CCI, he serves as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.
