Dr. Epstein recently retired from the San Francisco Department of Public Health and has been leading SFDPH’s Trauma-Informed Systems Initiative.
He has participated in CHCS’s national Trauma-Informed Care Collaborative, and we are so excited to have him bring his experience leading change at SFDPH to our RBC Program. See Dr. Epstein talk about his Trauma-Informed Care work in the Resilience Effect video.

Dr. Elisa Nicholas is the CEO of The Children’s Clinic (TCC). TCC is known as a unique leader in the greater Long Beach community, addressing disparities in health by providing quality care for the underserved of all ages, offering them a true “medical home.” Through the Everychild Foundation, TCC became the first health center in Los Angeles County to be certified as a Trauma Informed Care Practice by the National Council of Behavioral Health

Dr. Larry Wissow is a pediatrician at Johns Hopkins University and one of the main faculty behind the development of the PICC framework. His primary clinical work involves the mental health care of youth and young adults with chronic medical problems. His research focuses on the integration of mental health services with primary care.
