Selection of devices can – and should – include small pilots that engage patients to determine usability and scalability. An important consideration is whether the devices are “connected” (via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi), which automatically report results to providers, “non-connected,” which requires patients to manually report their own results/readings. Each of these methods will have its own workflow and staff requirements.
