Sharon Lim (she/her/hers) has been working towards creating a more equitable society since her work with incarcerated youth in Richmond, VA.

Upon graduation from the University of Richmond, she returned to her hometown, Los Angeles, where she has been working alongside marginalized communities to demand equity and reclaim agency. In addition to her work with incarcerated youth, her experiences include creating capacity within individuals and organizations, training attorneys to work with adults recently released from incarceration, and supporting adult volunteers to work with youth in the dependency system. She currently works at FreeFrom as a training specialist where she remotely trains advocates on how to create financial security for themselves as well as for and with survivors of gender-based violence. In her free time, she volunteers for CASA of Los Angeles, read a lot of about society and politics, and hangs out with her basset hound, Willow. Sharon holds her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in political science.
