As the Project Associate, Karina supports projects with CCI’s Population Management and Community-Centered Care portfolios of work.
Before CCI, Karina worked as a research assistant at Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health, where she conducted qualitative research on energy insecurity and helped develop intervention methods for community organizations. As a Health Advocate for the Alameda Health System at Highland, Karina connected patients with community resources with the goals of minimizing health disparities.
Karina is an undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley double majoring in Psychology and Social Welfare. Karina is a proud Compton native. In her free time, Karina loves satisfying her sweet tooth, spending time with friends and family and walking her dog.
