Denise brings extensive healthcare experience and a passion for people into her dynamic approach for engaging individuals in the work of quality improvement.

She has worked with individuals at all levels of healthcare organizations to help them connect quality improvement methodology/tools to care delivery systems and processes via the following functions:

  • Practice Coach — Working directly with provider practice teams to develop provider/staff capability and capacity for improvement.
  • Master Coach — Training and developing improvement advisors and coaches.
  • Curriculum Developer and Program Designer — Creating practical, applicable, and participatory learning programs, events and tools.
  • Facilitator/Trainer — Delivering curriculum via interactive exercises and methods reflecting adult learning theory.

Over the course of her career, she has served as director of performance improvement at Kaiser Permanente; manager of performance improvement capability development at Partnership HealthPlan of California; and most recently as an independent performance improvement consultant.

Denise holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, enjoys traveling with her husband, and investing time in memory-making activities with her many nieces and nephews.
