As a program manager, Andrea provides technical assistance and support to safety net providers and partners as they look at various innovative technology solutions to help transform and strengthen health care delivery for historically underinvested communities.
Before joining CCI, Andrea took a sabbatical in Mexico City, Mexico where she learned about the Mexican public health care system while perfecting her Spanish and salsa making skills. Prior to her sabbatical, she worked as a project manager for Dignity Health (now CommonSpirit Health) in the Community and Population Health system office. She led and managed a system wide initiative to partner with various community-based organizations and a social determinants of health technology vendor to better support patients outside of the hospital’s walls. She also managed a grant program aimed at solving common health inequity challenges through novel and transformative approaches that disrupt the current health care delivery model. Andrea is extremely passionate about driving health equity initiatives and ensuring that all communities have access to culturally sensitive health care.
Andrea received her bachelor’s degree in public health science from Santa Clara University and a master’s degree in public health with a concentration in health policy and management and an emphasis in multicultural health from the University of California, Berkeley. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her family while going on foodie adventures and being nature adjacent.
